As an
Sales Manager , you will act as a technical sales consultant and negotiate the terms and conditions of contracts for the rental of audiovisual equipment and the provision of technical services.
Some tasks may include:
Initiate contact with new and existing clients to renew and maintain relationships, explain current capabilities, and generate new business through cold-calls, sales trips, and networking.Obtain all pertinent information in regards to client requirements, budgets, sites, dates, and equipment requirements to identify the quality and scope of client's event.Explain policies relating to rental, labor, insurance, billing, payment terms, discounts (if applicable), deposits, and logistics.Create and review formal proposal, issue to client as required. Amend proposals to overcome objections and obtain contracts if necessary within established policy. Respond to customer scope changes and communicate internally to departments affected.Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate all elements of event details and logistics to determine availability of equipment and labor or to provide substitutions for event requirements, while maintaining acceptable margins.Maintain communication with client to ensure high level of satisfaction from beginning of show preparation to delivery, resolving any outstanding issues including revisions during the process.Visit venue as required for site surveys, load-in or run of show to ensure that all logistics meet client expectations.Create timely and accurate Pull-Sheets.Organize a review of pulled equipment in warehouse prior to shipment to ensure that all required elements are included and authorize during shipment of package to show site.Prepare final documentation relating to actual implementation of show including schedule hours and equipment itemized in preparation for billing.Manage the execution of invoicing and payment terms in keeping with contractual agreements and ensure that all funds due for sold show contracts are collected in agreed terms.To be a successful
Sales Manager , you must meet the following:
At least 5 years developing technical proposals for corporate meetings, trade shows, hospitality industry, event management, or similar industry.Minimum of 5 years of technical industry experience (Audio, Video, Lighting)Computer knowledge including but not limited to MS Excel, Outlook, and other MS Office
Base Salary Range:
$75,000 - $111,000 This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
