At Sinclair Tractor, we pride ourselves on being the destination in Southeast Iowa for agricultural equipment, precision farming, agronomic decision support, NAPA parts and supplies. With thirteen John Deere dealerships, five NAPA parts locations and a Supply Store, we are looking for motivated and talented people to join our team.

Purpose

Manages service operations within the dealership to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize return on investment by optimizing service department processes. Grows profitable service labor sales and exercises disciplined expense control. Attracts, retains, and assists with development of department personnel.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:Communicates, enforces and monitors service department processes to ensure customer satisfactionCreates annual location service department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectivesExecutes service department marketing plan with the direction from corporate service manager and marketing managerCoordinates customer clinics, field days, and related promotional eventsEnsures that all service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within the required timeframe to receive maximum creditSchedules and assigns jobs and work areas to employees in the service department according to their skills and knowledgeReviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billingManages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this positionAssists with the development and training of service personnel and completes performance reviews of service staffMay participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeOperates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilitiesMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments and Managing OthersMaintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

Minimum 3 years' experience in Service Department operationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentBasic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operationsFamiliar with John Deere and competitive productsAbility to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsAbility to analyze and interpret internal reportsMust maintain a valid driver's license with an insurable driving recordMust have basic knowledge of equipment safety proceduresAbility to work varying shifts, weekend, extended hours, and holidaysAbility to speak effectively one-on-one and within a groupWorking Conditions & Requirements:
