37.5 hours per weekSalary: $36.95– $46.18 per hourShifts: All Shifts 24/7Status: PermanentFull TimeClosing Date: Until FilledPosition SummaryAs an integral member of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging team you will perform various Imaging procedures at University Health Network with an opportunity to be trained in Interventional Radiology. The department features state-of-the-art digital technology and a team of innovative staff dedicated to patient care and superb image quality, backed by a commitment to continuing education and quality assurance program initiatives. The Technologist will report to the Interventional Radiology Operations Lead and adhere to respective institutional policies and procedures.DutiesPerforms Interventional Radiology procedures in the IR Department using advanced digital equipment, and digital quality assuranceCommunicates with team members and management personnel, participates in professional development, teaching and educational activities, and mentoringPerforms cross-functional/site responsibilities as assigned, including working call or overtime, and evening, weekendPerform strong inter-professional and collaborative approach to practice.Showcase judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the teamWork accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast paced, high patient volume setting, especially how to accommodate unexpected situationsCertification by the CAMRTCurrent registration with the CMRITO and fulfilling the annual required continuing education as per CMRITOLive within 60 minutes of hospitalCompletion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification, with maintenance of certification2 to 3 years General Radiography experienceAbility to demonstrate sensitivity towards patients in a challenging situation.Demonstrates strong inter-professional and collaborative approach to practice.Demonstrates good judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the teamAbility to work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast paced, high patient volume setting, especially how to accommodate unexpected situations.Demonstrates strong technical skills and image qualityEffective time management skills, ability to organize work, and set priorities.Strong written and verbal communications skills including through formal clinical documentationAwareness of hospital emergency codes and procedures, requiredAbility to work variable shifts and take on-call assignments.Current membership with the CAMRTPrevious CT experience, an assetCurrently enrolled in or completion of the CAMRT Interventional Radiology Specialty certificate program, an assetIn addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
