Anduril Industries, Inc.
Systems Engineer, Land Systems
Anduril Industries, Inc., Costa Mesa, California, United States, 92626
WHY WE’RE HERE:
Anduril’s Land Systems team is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team. The Land Systems team at Anduril develops software for land-based robotic systems, leveraging software infrastructure built by other Anduril product teams. The team is responsible for taking manned and unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) robots from paper sketches to operational systems. We work in close coordination with specialist teams like Perception, Autonomy, and Hardware/Manufacturing to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers.
We’re looking for a high-ownership, independent, model-based Systems Engineer to align engineering expectations and outputs with government needs, working across our hardware and software teams at Anduril to produce first-rate engineering outputs for our customers. The right person for this role will be leading the development of system architecture and managing it from requirements elicitation to deployment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Develop artifacts based on stakeholder needs and work closely with functional areas to ensure work products are complete and accurate
Own the system’s CONOPS and performance, functional, and interface requirements during external customer engagements, including gating design reviews, from concept to V&V
Define and drive adoption of processes to maintain parity between the design and implementation of software-defined, hardware-enabled systems.
Own the final delivery of systems engineering outputs of a cross-functional team.
Translate customer requirements and operational expectations into product designs
Perform trade studies and present their results to key stakeholders
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with Systems Engineering, Requirements Elicitation and Management, Integration, and Test Activities on a complex system throughout its life cycle (e.g. DoD weapon systems, consumer vehicles, space systems, UXS, and aircraft)
Experience with Cameo or MagicDraw
Experience defining and working within robust model-based systems engineering frameworks which have produced demonstrated value for the broader engineering team.
An in-depth understanding of computers, including knowledge in the realms of networking, security, and/or distributed systems.
Experience developing various model based system engineering artifacts, especially in compliance with a government reference architecture (e.g., Operational Viewpoints, System Viewpoints, activity diagrams, use case diagrams, BDDs, IBDs, parametric diagrams)
Experience performing systems engineering analyses, including maintaining a technical budget, managing software or electrical interfaces, conducting gated design reviews, performing trade studies, developing design or process documentation, maintaining system specifications, developing verification plans, performing functional and requirements decomposition, and performing operational analysis, especially using a model-based approach.
Outstanding communication skills to include presentation of developed artifacts
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with unmanned ground systems / autonomous vehicles development programs
Experience with armored vehicle development programs
INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) Certification
OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP)
Familiarity with the FACE (Future Airborne Capability Environment) standard
Familiarity with requirements databases such as DOORS, DNG, or Jama
