McLean, VADescriptionCoverent, an Orbis company, is seeking an experienced management consultant to lead qualitative research and program evaluation activities for a client in the US Intelligence Community. On this multi-year project, the consultant will have the opportunity to demonstrate intellectual agility by leading research design, data collection, and data analysis activities to produce and implement recommendations that will support the client in optimizing delivery of specialized projects in support of their mission. This project features the opportunity to interact with a wide range of key stakeholders, including those at senior levels. This is an exciting opportunity for an intellectually curious, energetic management consultant to work on a project with real impact helping our client develop ways of better meeting the needs of the mission.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement research designs with practical strategies for conducting evaluations of strategic communications for a customer in the US Intelligence Community.Apply operational knowledge and tradecraft to enhance the customer's planning, design, and implementation of a variety of projects.Design and conduct survey research; includes sample identification, instrument development, survey distribution, and response analysis.Analyze both qualitative and quantitative information to provide the customer with comprehensive insights into organizational strengths and challenge areas.Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership based on research plans, activities, findings, and recommendations.Brief senior-level customers on research plans, status of activities, findings, and recommendations.Generate operational proposals based upon your findings and recommendations.This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseA Bachelor’s degree is required for this position.Minimum of 5 years' experience in a consulting role in the IC.Master’s degree in business, social science, or behavioral science preferred but not required for this position.US Citizenship.Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.Ability to extract insights from social media and various open source and proprietary data sources to produce finished intelligence products.Experience developing presentations and providing briefings to middle and senior management.Excellent oral and written communication skills, including visual representation of data using charts and graphs.Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to perform in an individual contributor role while also excelling in a team environment.Demonstrated experience leading program evaluation activities.Experience with survey design and analysis.Ability to analyze information and identify implications for policy, processes, communications, and training.Familiarity with advanced statistical concepts.Master’s degree in business, social science, or behavioral science is a plus.Easturn European language is helpful but not required.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings.Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region.
