Our team members are responsible for the first-ever green bond done at the World Bank and the first ever bond done with a gender lens.RockCreek seeks a dynamic, resourceful, energetic, and detail-oriented Associate for the Office of the CEO. The primary responsibility will be to support the firm’s CEO in:research on climate and sustainability economic and financial trends;business development and client services efforts, including providing administration and scheduling support, coordinating travel, conducting research, writing and editing reports and correspondence, planning events, and handling external communication.The ideal candidate is highly organized, flexible, able to anticipate change, passionate and up to date on current financial markets and sustainability. The candidate should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The candidate must be a team player who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts to demanding and ever-changing situations. The Associate would have opportunities to attend certain meetings or events with the CEO.Specific Responsibilities include:Creating and editing internal and external presentationsCreating, compiling, and arranging meeting, event, and speaker briefing materialsResearching trends and topics in sustainable investing, finance, and international economicsAssisting in managing client and other business relationships for the CEOConceptualizing and organizing sustainabilitity-focused speaking events and webinars involving the CEO and external guestsDrafting website and social media descriptions of teamwide and CEO eventsCoordinating across business units to communicate and implement firm-wide priorities and practicesAd hoc projects and requests as neededKey ExperienceStrong academic background (or equivalent) including undergraduate or postgraduate courses in economics, finance, sustainable environment and data analyticsExperience in sustainable investing, communications, or consulting industriesStrong analytic and data analysis skillsExperience in economics, finance, and data analytics is preferredUnderstanding of global financial markets, economic news, and business through study and workExperience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with an ability to take charge and manage projects under tight deadlinesAbility to work flexible hours while taking ownershipExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA highly organized problem solver with a knack for developing and executing processes designed to maximize efficiencyProficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Office365) and WordPressData visualization (e.g. Tableau and Canva) software skills are a plusConsistent with our belief that team members are our most valuable asset, RockCreek offers a competitive benefits package.Ability to work remotely with support technologyMedical, dental, and vision insurance; dependents eligible401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off, sick leave, and company holidaysWellness programs including meditation and fitness classes
