Summary

The Opportunity

Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Global Sales Director to join our Hyatt Sales Force Americas Transient team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing long-term, strategic partnerships to increase Hyatt's performance across all regions. This position will primarily focus on corporate business travel but also have opportunities in the extended stay segment as well.There will be defined goals, including a revenue target and other specific sales targets that you will achieve through implementing the organization’s B2B sales strategy, customer engagements, and other tactics focused on increasing revenue, shifting market share, finding new business opportunities, and increasing Hyatt brand awareness globally.You’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company by supporting our hotels with proactive sales missions, tradeshows/events, and hotel familiarization trips. The Role

As Global Sales Director on our Hyatt Sales Force Transient team, you will manage, own, and drive sales within your set account base by bridging your expertise and knowledge of our hotels, brands, and commercial offerings to your customers’ needs.You will be responsible for growing Hyatt’s presence in your customers’ hotel programs, identifying extended stay opportunities for our hotels, and leveraging Hyatt’s value proposition to grow revenue and exceed sales targets through a strategic sales approach.While this is a remote position that requires a highly motivated individual, our Hyatt Sales Force team cross-collaborates with all commercial areas of the organization.This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Global Sales.Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to understanding customer trends, day-to-day account management, handling leads and RFPs, contributing to team accounts, collaborating on strategic company initiatives and projects, maintaining travel expenses within a set budget, generating, and analyzing reports, and professionally representing Hyatt and our brands at key customer engagements and industry functions.

Negotiate competitive deals offering value to the customer while maintaining profitability for HyattCreate and implement strategic action plans for a portfolio of corporate travel accounts to meet/exceed revenue goalsPlan and organize sales calls and business travel, including customer appointments, quarterly business reviews, tradeshow/industry event participation, Fam Trips, and internal meetings as appropriateEffectively communicate and bring Hyatt’s story to lifeChampion new and needed hotels and other company initiatives and prioritiesResourcefully engage all areas of the organization to find collaboration opportunities, experiment, and secure the salePossess a strong customer service mindsetEngage with hotel sales teams, operators, and owners to build rapport, test ideas, and increase awareness of Hyatt Sales ForceStay current on market conditions, forecasts, and corporate travel trends and then translate to action by implementing proactive measures to drive salesMaintain a high level of productivity while working independently in a fast-paced and relatively autonomous environmentDemonstrate strong follow-up, organizational skills, and leadership mindset

Qualifications

Experience Required:

5+ years of related industry experienceStrong understanding of the Corporate Travel industry and a network of contactsComprehensive knowledge of Hotels and Sales PracticesAbility to present with confidenceProficient within MS Office, Cvent Transient (Lanyon), CognosWorking knowledge and understanding of Extended Stay business and strategy

Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree preferredExperience with Hyatt Systems including Reserve, Opera, EnvisionPast work with Extended Stay segments or brands
