AT A GLANCE:
The BI Developer while working with the Business Intelligence team is responsible for supporting and managing a program of business unit-focused initiatives designed to help business partners drive value from information. They contribute to Broad River's success by ensuring business needs and goals are realized through analysis and reporting activities of the Business Intelligence Team. They are also responsible for empowering business leaders with concise, high-quality information, helping them leverage it to identify and address business opportunities and threats, providing consultation and interpretation of data to various business partners throughout the organization.
POSITION OVERVIEW:Supports all scheduled and non-recurring information needs of usersProvides end user education for the interpretation of business dataUtilizes a user group forum to share best practices around analytical findings based on the analysis conductedUnderstands our ERP system (Storis), our operational processes and data elements in the data warehouse at a very detailed level to support any form of user needs from research to adhoc queries to managing large information projectsMonitors and manages requests from users through the development, QA and launch processesQueries data to provide information requested by usersPresents data in a fashion that is easy to understand with proper documentation for successful user adoption and interpretationConsolidates redundant reporting and ensure that information is used consistently and efficiently across the companyApplies best practice for effective communication and problem-solvingPrioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-upsProvides first tier end user support in SSAS and data discrepanciesAll other duties as assignedQualifications
NECESARRY EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skillsPrior experience and passion for leveraging data to drive significant business impactAbility to speak to groups with advanced presentation skillsAbility to perform critical thinking in code developmentPossess the intellectual curiosity to work through ambiguityAbility to work independently with minimal instructionsAbility to prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects/assignmentsProven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentFamiliar with Pivot tables and Power Query in Microsoft ExcelStrong understanding of Tables, View, Stored Prodcedures, FunctionsExperience working with one or more BI platformsProficient in Sql Service Reporting Services 2019Understanding of SSRS web portal security 2019Understanding of SSAS developmentUnderstanding of Agile methodologyUnderstanding of SSIS developmentFamiliar with PowerBIEducationBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
