7am to 3:30pmResponsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will:
Make rounds with MD and report any changes in resident condition to MDAccurately chart changes in condition and nursing observationsAdminister medications and perform treatments as per Physician's ordersTake telephone/verbal orders and transcribes and notes same accuratelyInitiate and complete occurrence reports accuratelyReview lab reports and other diagnostic test reports and reports finding to MD and supervisorInitiate infection control reportsSchedule resident appointments following proper proceduresMake out daily unit report and gives a thorough report to on coming shiftPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
Graduate of a Practical Nursing programNYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)CPR certificationSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
