Job Description
A Junior Project Manager is an experienced engineer who can define a project, develop a set of tasks to accomplish the project, coordinate and monitor the work involved in the tasks, and deliver a final product on time and within prescribed budget.
Duties may include:
Defining the scope of individual projects.Developing integrated tasks to accomplish individual projects.Planning and evaluating staffing requirements for each project.Coordinating technical efforts of members of each project.Coordinate project with outside consultants.Attend client meetings when necessary.Coordinating and monitoring the technical work of each task.Analyze and prepare comprehensive reports.Assigning work/tasks to personnel within own group.Reviewing (for Department Manager or Branch Manager approval) all documents prepared for each project.Monitoring progress toward deliverable schedules.Working closely with personnel from other offices and departments as necessary to meet contract requirements.Develop and maintain the trust and confidence of clients.Market for follow-up business for each project.Make formal presentations to clients as well as company management.Participate in and/or be responsible for establishing technical in-house training.Actively pursue and participate in professional activities.Prepare if/when requested material required to submit a proposal.Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of a four year college or university with a degree in Engineering, Landscape Architecture, etc.Minimum of 5-7 years of previous technical/design experience.Professional Registration required.Valid Driver's License - Must be insurable by fleet insurer; driving history will be reviewed by agent and underwriterThe ability to work a regular schedule of 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM FridayMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with OSHA guidelines and directives, in conjunction with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsRegularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computersRegularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlesslyRegularly work on repetitive tasksRegularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objectsRegularly hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the armRegularly use headphones and earpieceRegularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet awayRegularly speak clearly so listeners can understandRegularly understand the speech of another personFrequently bend to file and maintain filesMust be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephoneMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
