Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business. Be able to develop and maintain good relationships with Corporate Sales Events and Marketing team. Perform as the driver of all sales revenue and ensure quarterly and annual revenue goals are achieved for the hotel. Will promptly reply to incoming leads, actively and aggressively solicit new catering customers and identify key sales targets in all sectors. Evaluate each piece of event business to ensure business can be properly serviced and fit the strategic business needs of the property.Primary sales efforts are in Catering, Beverage, Room Blocks and Meeting Room Rental. Must be able to communicate the services of the hotel to gain commitment from the customer. This position will provide best in class customer service to retain clients and encourage client referrals.Responsibilities include:Administering the Sales agreement, detailing all food, beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks, billing instructions and final review.Develop sales action plans and forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively.Assist in the production of annual hotel business plan as well as overseeing the properties’ social media initiatives, all the while working closely with the field marketing team.Evaluate each piece of event business to ensure business can be properly serviced and fit the strategic business needs of the property.Develop and maintain departmental budget by implementing effective marketing plans to generate catering revenues.Lead property revenue meetings always insuring revenue maximization and profit in all areas.Timely submission of required reports to General Manager, Regional Vice President and Corporate Office.Sales Manager is the on-site contact and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events. Other essential duties include booking, selling, planning and coordinating all catering events, ensuring sales system documentation both internal and external are current.A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environmentRefined verbal and written communication skillsA minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferredMust be proficient in general computer knowledgePrefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training

Salary Range: 61,800 - 86,600
