Position is working all Back office in a Nephrology Group of multiple providers.Summary:Position: Bilingual Spanish Medical Assistant Assist with front office to office management and staffHourly Pay Rate Range: $19-$20 p/hour (DOE)Job Type: Full TimeFacility: Nephrology GroupLocation: Los Angeles, CADays: Monday- Friday 8:30 a.m.-5pmBilingual, Spanish is a MUST!Duties Introduce the patient to the office and medical provider and efficiently prepare patients for their visit. Assist with medical procedures including drawing up syringes, assisting with laser/surgical procedures Perform procedures such as drawing blood, injecting shots, and prepping clients for treatments Ensure all exam rooms are up to par with medical standards throughout the day Assist with patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments Participate in phone calls with patients regarding post-procedure care, prescriptions, and other patient questions Become familiar with iPad-based electronic medical record and inputting medical notes, prescriptions, etc. Position Requirements Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma 2+ years of experience in a medical professional's office Ability to work well under pressure Exceptional customer service & organizational skills EMR skills required Bilingual, Spanish is a must!TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.This position is currently accepting applications.
