Salary Range : $70,000 - $85,000
Job Role/Responsibility
The Sr. IT Specialist is responsible for both hands on and strategic IT planning. He/she will take responsibility for all IT delivery aspects including scheduling, communication, maintenance support and management of 3 rd party vendors, as well as ensuring quality of service, security and best practice adopted in line with corporate standards and policies.
The ideal candidate must be extremely hands on technically, and providing a high level of technical support for our expanding operations.
Technical:
§ Perform Phone and desk side technical support of PCs, Laptops, and Mobile Devices
§ Support VOIP on a corporate level
§ Provide support for Windows Servers (Windows 2003 / 2008)
§ Thoroughly investigate and resolve problems to a high technical standard
§ Supporting changes to software/hardware as agreed with the business and scheduled
§ Supporting the formulation and implementation of technical specifications
§ Provide Support for the operating software and associated products in conjunction with application providers to ensure that each element of a project performs to specification
§ Effectively monitor specific infrastructure & application services and identify improvements and preventative maintenance interventions
§ Management of Active Directory including migration activity
§ Good knowledge of Network technologies WAN and LAN (Cisco / HP)
§ Strong backup technologies experience, with demonstrable capability in design build and run a significant backup regime
Management & communication skills The ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization over the telephone and face to face. The ability to work under pressure and to handle difficult customers in a positive and confident manner. The ability to liaise with IT staff, customers and software suppliers with regard to issues and solutions .
