Position descriptionAttending Public Psychiatrists Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma CenterThe Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco invites applications for Attending Psychiatrists at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (Zuckerberg San Francisco General). We serve as the City and County of San Francisco safety net public hospital and work predominantly with underserved populations. Openings in psychiatric inpatient, consultation/liaison, substance use, intensive case management, outpatient treatment, emergency services, trauma services, outpatient services for the HIV/LGBT community, Children’s Services, Integrated Services, and forensic psychiatry for both adult and/or children are often available and will be filled in a rank and series commensurate with experience. A start date of March 1, 2024 or thereafter is anticipated for these positions. Additional details regarding these opportunities are available upon request. Qualifications •MD or equivalent; board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry; and licensed to practice medicine in California at the time of appointment •Demonstrated clinical, educational, and administrative skills with a strong commitment to an academic careers as a clinician-educator •Demonstrated cultural competence in working with vulnerable and culturally diverse populations •Clinical research experience preferred •Candidate’s CV and/or cover letter must state basic qualifications (or if pending) upon submission.Responsibilities •Perform direct clinical care •Participate in teaching, supervision and assessment of trainees •Engage in innovation and continual improvements in clinical and educational programs •Participate in departmental, university, and public serviceApply online at , with a CV, cover letter, statement of contributions to diversity, and 3 references.The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $97,300-$297,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
