Production Assembler

The Production Assembler will perform basic assembly and system integration activities within a production environment involving electronic components, off-the-shelf parts and materials, manufactured components, and other hardware.

Minimum QualificationsHS Diploma or Equivalent3+ years of relevant work experienceFamiliarity and experience working with industry workmanship specifications. (IPC, J-STD, WHMA-A-620, and Wire/Crimp.)Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and blueprints.Must be able to use standard hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.High mechanical and/or electrical aptitudeUse of computers, email, MS Office, and other programs is required.Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work and be productive, both independently and as a team player.Must be able to differentiate color on wiring and electronic components.Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, as required.Desired Qualifications

Familiar with Lean/Continuous Improvement principles in a manufacturing environment.Strong time management skills to engage multiple priorities and activities.Formal technical degrees, certificates, or training are not required, but preferred.Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical and electrical components per established processes/work instructions /drawings.Maintain records for production operation completion, traceability, and defects identified in the process.Follow all established processes and procedures.Participate in continuous improvement activities, provide feedback to supervisor and support staff to improve our product quality and manufacturing process.Ensure that the work area is maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.Engage with KPI's, Metrics, and other performance tools to attain desired quality and schedule.Other duties, as assigned.Physical Demands & Work Environment

Work may be performed outside in hot and cold desert environments or inclement weather conditions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear, and see. Most work will be performed while standing and moving throughout the production floor.Must be able to lift to 100 pounds, during the workday.Safety glasses, safety footwear and other protective equipment must be worn, as required by process documentation.Must be able to climb ladders and/or equipment.Must be able to read, write and speak English.Must be flexible in the ability to support other process areas, and overtime as needed.ATSC promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing.We participate in the E-Verify Employment Eligibility program.Must have a valid driver's license.Due to the nature of work performed within our facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
