to play a pivotal role in shaping our data-driven strategy and driving business growth through insightful analysis and data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our data engineering and business intelligence teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive data that aligns with the organization’s needs.As a Senior Data Management Analyst , you will have the opportunity to leverage your technical and analytical expertise to make a tangible impact. Your responsibilities will span complex data modeling projects, data dictionary definition, and leadership in row-level reporting mapping. Additionally, you will serve as a subject matter expert in our data management systems and processes, providing essential training to users on effective data utilization and access.Located at our office in Naperville, IL. our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required.ResponsibilitiesData Modeling and Architecture:Support data modeling efforts, ensuring robust architecture and adherence to best practices.Collaborate with the data engineering team to develop efficient data pipelines that meet the business intelligence team's requirements.Business Metrics Accuracy:Maintain the accuracy and completeness of business metrics by managing dimensions and measuring definitions.User Guidance and Training:Provide guidance and training to users on effective utilization and access of data structures, including data dictionaries and entity-relationship diagrams.Data Security and Privacy:Implement best practices in data management to ensure data security and privacy.Data Analysis for Governance and Quality:Analyze data to inform data governance initiatives and enhance data quality.Insights Delivery:Deliver regular reports and actionable insights to support informed decision-making across the organization.Continuous Improvement:Proactively seek opportunities to enhance data processes and procedures, promoting increased data accessibility and reliability.We’re Excited if This is YouYou thrive in a dynamic environment where data plays a vital role.Your passion for data-driven decision-making drives your work.You enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.Experience and Qualifications3+ years of experience in data management and analyticsPrior knowledge of SQL to query and manipulate data.Understanding of ETL/cloud infrastructure to optimize data pipelines.Proficiency in at least one BI tool such as Tableau , Looker , or a similar platform.Exposure to DBT is a plus.Prior experience working with data engineering teams is preferred.EducationBachelor's Degree required.CompetenciesProblem Solving - Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and does not stop at the first answers.Strategic Agility - Sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately; has broad knowledge and perspective; is future oriented; can articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans.Action Orientated - Enjoys working hard; is action oriented and full of energy for the things that he/she sees as challenging; not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning; seizes more opportunities than others.Functional / Technical Skills - Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.Organizational Agility - Knowledgeable about how organizations work; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network; understands the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices, and procedures; understands the cultures of organizations.Analytical - Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends and patterns, and use data to inform decision-making.
