Cancellation Policy
Hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract. Each cancellation could be a full shift or any part of a shift. (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).

Med Sol prescreens, manager will review and offer Unit M/S/Oncology/Tele # Beds 15 Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:5 Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS and NIHSS Common diagnosis / Types of patients COPD, Sepsis, Pneumonia, UTI, AMS, Pancreatitis, Diverticulitis, All types of cancer diagnosis, hospice, non-cardiac related telemetry monitoring due to hyperkalemia, renal failure, sepsis Experience or 'Must have' skills telemetry, trach, peg care, foley, central line, med administration, assessments, nursing care plan, patient teaching, O2 management, IV, NGT, Meditech experience preferred Are RN's required to titrate drips No Common titratable &/or set rate drips None Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? Centralized monitoring is available, yes, RN should be able to read strips Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios Yes, 1:15 RT/Equipment (i.e., Cpap, Bipap, High Flow, vents, etc.) cpap Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) We have self scheduling and allow block scheduling Weekend Requirements 8-9 per 6 weeks schedule Holiday Requirements 2 major, 1 minor Is there Call or a Standby requirement? yes Floating Requirements? yes Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided? Navy Unit/Department Specific Orientation 3-6 shifts Additional Notes Oncology experience is not required, but is helpful COVID REQUIREMENT: • Medical declination -accompanied by a physician's note • Religious declination, no supporting documentation is needed.
