Requirements

Five years of work experience required, with a focus in comprehensive grants accounting and reporting of multi-year, multi-geographical grants up to $25MM preferred
·
Software: QuickBooks &Adv. Excel-Manual Environment
·
Need an EXCEL GURU, VERY COMPLEX. Help build/improve tools i.e. budgeting reports
The Grants and Financial Analyst plays a significant role in creating and managing all excel tools to budget for new grant opportunities, track grant and unrestricted spending and forecast, and report on spending to donors and board. This role also provides significant analysis and collaboration to maximize organizational use of funding and to review and assess the grants budgeting process. A successful candidate will bring deep experience in financial analysis, development and design of complex excel tools, and continuous trouble shooting and system
Main Responsibilities (Overview)

45% Reconciliation/Analysis
·
20% Strategic Proposal Support
·
20% External Reporting
·
15% Tools for sub-awards ---this 15% is specifically creating and fixing their budget-reporting templates for international funded sub-awards
·
Monthly Personnel allocation updates-how to take $5 and split 250 ways among grants---A good deal of this job is more creative, and involves responding to donor requirements and opportunities for funding through complex presentation of spending trends or funding needs
·
Create and fix clients budget-reporting templates for international funded sub-awards
·
Grant Budget Tracker Updates- Create, Develop and Drive trouble shooting
·
Journal Entry Change Requests, Cost Allocation, Make/Confirm Adjustments
·
Grants-International or Domestic Highly Preferred Receive Private & Individual Donations
·
Proposal budgets to donors - some clear, but mostly very complex, and some include funding from multiple donors; once they receive the funding, make sure all requirements are being met, tracking the funds
·
Contracts, Budgets & Sub-awards to international organizations/partners: -14 total international organizations funded by client through grants, some with 3 different funding sources from client. All have different currencies & exchange rates
·
Forecast is important to organizational planning: Direct Grant Spend also includes indirect funds which impacts the organization spending/revenue/finances
·
Works with small & large grants, private donors to Gates Foundation
