Our clients, one of the top think tanks, are looking for a Grants Manager for a 6-month contract role.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
5-7 years of Post Awards Grants Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of federal grant compliance, administration, and award management guidelines of sponsored grants (i.e., OMB Uniform Guidance), education activities, and funding sources (i.e., federal, non-federal, non-profit organizations, corporate, private foundations)
Experience in initiating, developing, and completing grant proposals to completion/submission (i.e., related to external funding agencies, guidelines, and solicitation, including faculty fellowships) is preferred.
Budgeting and budget justification
Responsibilities:
Pre-Award Routing – Serve as the primary contact for the faculty to initiate, complete, and submit pre-awards, grants, and fellowship applications, through the internal routing system for review and approval; and initiate and develop templates, workflows, and processes to assist faculty with navigating the pre-awards in the college.
Post-Award Administration (80%)
Review grant agreement terms and conditions and record key details for award compliance
Work with the Director of Grants and Contracts during award negotiation to ensure that the most accurate and up-to-date award documents are being reviewed prior to Institutional acceptance.
Process requests for post-award amendments, budget reallocations, no-cost extensions, and advance setups
Maintain Workday grant records and responsible for new award data entry including setting up new projects and activities as assigned.
Maintain award documentation (electronically) in an accurate, efficient, and consistent manner.
Maintain accurate internal tracking logs with new award and donor specific information.
Utilize Workday reporting tools to identify and extract key performance indicators
Create ad-hoc Workday invoicing as needed.
Record, monitor and track milestone deliverables and deadlines to completion
Work collaboratively with Accounting staff and Program Finance staff answering questions and providing basic support of managing active awards within full compliance of the Institution’s donor guidelines and internal policies and procedures.
Coordinate with research program finance teams to monitor spending on grant awards
Ensure proposals align with both agency and institutional goals and capabilities; and maintain information on proposal preparation requirements for relevant federal, state, local sponsors, private foundations, and industry partners.
Pre-Award Budget Development – Support faculty to develop proposal budgets and budget justifications using the university budget template, as well as preparing budgets and budget justifications on the sponsors’ templates for submission.
