Workday Reporting Specialist (Payroll)Remote

The Workday Reporting Specialist is responsible for all work activities associated with the design, build, test, and deployment of Workday reports, including management of the review and sign off process with Workday Functional Leads and business subject matter experts (SMEs). This position will work with the Talent Analytics Manager to understand the proposed design of the Workday solution and the impact to providing reports to users. This position works with Functional Leads / SMEs to gather reporting requirements for all reports and build new custom reports using standard Workday reporting functionality- Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, and Discovery Boards. The role includes analyzing Workday delivered reports to determine whether current reports can be leveraged/configured or whether new custom reports are required. The role will also help to establish reporting standards and support data governance.

Essential Duties:

Workday HCM report creation, maintenance, and optimizationRequirements gathering, build, test and debug Workday HCM reports & DashboardsAnalyze and translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specificationsCreate reports out of HCM and other database systems as required by internal stakeholdersPrepare HR metrics to be presented upon request or on schedule by senior leadershipReview reports and calculated fields regularly to optimize performanceDocument report functionality and design to facilitate ongoing maintenanceProvide troubleshooting and support for report execution failuresDevelop and modify advanced reports for internal human resources and people leaders using Workday Report WriterResearch new Workday reporting & analytics features and functionality to determine how best to meet user needsSupport Workday's biannual releases through impact analysis to changes to Workday's data model and create reports and dashboards to aid in identification of populations for release testingHCM reporting governance, support, and educationParticipate in report reviews, including understanding and ensuring security and data privacy standardsPartner with Workday Security team to maintain data and privacy standardsWork closely with other members of the Workday functional team and serve as a subject matter expert for others regarding reporting and calculated fieldsProvide HCM data support for Human Resources staff, all associate end-users, and members of senior leadershipMaintain proficiency and level of knowledge with all talent systemsAssists with the support of all aspects of Human Resources as it relates to data requests, including but not limited to EEO-1, Affirmative Action Plan, and benefits censusParticipate in delivery of reporting trainingTrain users on Workday reporting functions and available reportsFollow established standards and change management processes including report documentationOther duties as assignedEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience, including business analyst and project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceTECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS PREFERRED:

Proficient in Workday reporting including Calculated Fields, Advanced, Matrix, Trending and CompositeDemonstrated knowledge of Workday dashboards, worksheets, and embedded analyticsSQL knowledgeEXPERIENCEREQUIRED:

Experience with Workday HCMDemonstrated ability to conduct high level needs analysis and produce reporting and data analysisBackground in identifying, designing, testing, and deploying reports in an ERP systemBackground in understanding HCM data that could be used in building reportsHuman Resources and/or recruiting functional background, ideally in Public Accounting or similar Professional services firmsWorkday Report Writing certificationsAptitude in learning and mastering report writing toolsKnowledge of commonly used reports for Recruiting, Human Resources, Compensation, Payroll and BenefitsProficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint required)Ability to create a consolidated report by combining data from multiple data sourcesStrong problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skillsAbility to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolutionDemonstrated ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing prioritiesStrong written and oral communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skillsPREFERRED:
