Basic Function
HF Sinclair Midstream located in Dallas is seeking a Manager, Environmental. This position oversees and directs all aspects of the environmental department for HFS Midstream.
Job Duties
(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)Ensures that local, state and federal environmental regulations are being metWorks with various internal stakeholder groups to develop collaborative, compliant outcomesEnsure compliance with Clean Air Act (including but not limited to NSR Permitting, Title V, TRI, Emissions Inventories, GACT, BBBBBB, NSPS K/Ka/Kb/Kc, NSPS XX, MACT CC, MACT R, MACT WW, Mandatory GHG reporting)Ensures compliance with waste management and reporting rules (including but not limited to RCRA,Ensure compliance with Clean Water Act (including but not limited to SPCC/FRP, NPDES)Works with internal and external stakeholders to maintain and update oil spill response plans, exercises, and drills.Develops and updates environmental standards and policiesFacilitates environmental compliance audit programParticipates in community and agency relations activitiesParticipates on corporate Environmental Management TeamManages outside consultantsMay maintain Service Agreements for Special Project ManagementMay lead Classroom TrainingWork with various internal stakeholders to maintain and update Environmental Management Systems (Enablon)
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience
A minimum of ten years related experience is required with a significant amount of experience in industry-related environmental compliance is required.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required.
Required Skills
Must be able to lead a team and direct the work of other associates. Proficient with spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications; knowledge of laws, pronouncements and regulations pertaining to environmental operations; excellent planning, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, analytical; good ability to present publicly. Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations. Advanced reading and writing skills. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
May be responsible for the supervision of up to 6 employees and/or outside consultants.
Work Conditions
Office based with up to 50% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and rotating equipment. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.
Physical Requirements
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, knelling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, perceiving color differences, making precise hand & finger movements, reaching or gasping, climbing up to 200 ft, wearing personal protective equipment as needed and a respirator in emergency situations, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential.
