We are looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for solving real world problems to join the Watts Digital Engineering team. You will work in an agile environment to design, code, debug, test and deploy important features across the entire digital product stack. You will collaborate with the Product and Design team to build intuitive and innovative features that bring value to end users. You will directly contribute to Watts Digital's growing software engineering organization and be a pivotal member in enhancing our engineering standards and processes. This role is remote and will report to the Engineering Manager.

You Will

Deliver and maintain testable, high-quality codeContribute to technical architecture discussions and helping drive technical decisions within the teamEnsure that the systems we develop and maintain result in highly scalable, feature-rich solutions that minimize support costs and provide an outstanding customer experienceCommunicate technology decisions and outcomes to key stakeholders (e.g., sponsors, ecosystem partners, product teams)Develop and maintain solution architecture diagrams and documentationImplement modern technologies including, open-source and third-party tools to increase efficiency and improve technology and product offeringsDeliver features and functionality through all stages of the development process, including analysis, architecture/design, and implementationWork closely with other Engineers, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and 3rd party vendors to successfully deliver and deploy solutions to productionAdvocate a continuous improvement mindset regarding our development process, with a focus on how we can automate regular, high-quality, releases in an agile environmentChampion a culture of learning, measurement, accountability, and quality via code reviews, paired programming, and other collaboration opportunities within the teamCollaborate with Product Owners on the backlog and providing high level effort estimation to plan feature prioritization more accuratelyCollaborate with Design on mock-ups and wireframes to provide valuable feedback that leads to an improved customer experiencePartner with hardware BUs to understand their needs and deliver platform-oriented solutionsContinue to evolve security practices and controls to meet the needs of protecting customer data and systemsPartner with IT and operations in support of enterprise IT strategy and standardsEnsure we are building necessary observability into our systems that provide transparency across the entire stackAssist Customer Success and Operations team in triaging and resolving production issues

You Have

2+ years in software engineering delivering across the entire SDLC2+ years working with Cloud Native technologies, preferably in Azure2+ years working with C# .NET (or similar languages)2+ years working with Mobile Development frameworks, preferably with React NativeDemonstrated hands-on experience architecting, designing, building, testing and deploying features and products that are used by customersDeep understanding of API and system designExperience working with Docker or other containerization technologiesProven ability to collaborate with designers, product managers to come up with high-impact ways of quickly solving users' problemsThrives in a collaborative environment involving different functions, stakeholders, and subject matter expertsDesigning and developing microservice-based architecturesExperience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Code analysis toolsDeep understanding of software engineering practices (e.g. Agile software development, test driven development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, etc.)Familiarity with Hardware and Network engineering is a bonusPromote, contribute to, and participate in a culture of inclusion and diversity
