Davontae Singleton Appointed as New Director of Riverview Charter SchoolBeaufort, SC, June 1, 2024 — The Board of Directors at Riverview Charter School is delighted to announce the appointment of Davontae Singleton as the new Director, effective July 1, 2024.Davontae Singleton, a Lowcountry native, brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success in advancing academic excellence and fostering asupportive learning environment to our learning community. Prior to joining Riverview Charter School, Davontae served as Assistant Principal for Curriculum & Instruction at Dent Middle School in Richland School District Two. In Richland Two, Davontae was named the 2019 Teacher of the Year at E.L. Wright Middle School as well as a recipient of the 2022 Gerald Dawkins Award for his commitment to promoting equity for educators, particularly minority males.“The board is delighted to welcome Davontae to the Riverview community and eagerly anticipates a bright future for our school under his leadership. We are confident that with his guidance, Riverview will continue to thrive and set new standards of excellence.
