Job DescriptionBoutique Recruiting has an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Controller at a well-known nonprofit arts organization in San Diego, CA! They are looking for someone with at least 5 years of accounting experience to oversee the day-to-day financial activities of the company. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a passion for music, and an appreciation for the meaningful work of nonprofits. $95,000 - $110,000 DOEResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial recordsPerform complex accounting and administrative projects including revenue accounting and balance sheet account reconciliationsPrepare monthly financial statements and custom financial reportsFormat spreadsheets for financial analysisManage accounting operations, including accounts receivable processing and reconciliationHandle bank reconciliations, budget reviews, and cash flow forecast updatesPrepare journal entries for month-end closings and assist with pension auditsRequirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including management experience with at least 1-2 direct reportsProficient in Microsoft Suite, especially ExcelKnowledge of accounting software and financial reporting systemsKnowledge of credits and debitsKnowledge of running an auditCPA certification is preferredExperience in the nonprofit sector is preferredFamiliarity with Financial Edge software and Cash Pro is preferredExperience in software conversions and comfort with managing projects is preferredBenefits100% Medical CoverageFull Dental and Vision Coverage401k with 5% matchDisability coverage and small life insurance coverage2 weeks of PTO, 11-12 holidays, and 2 weeks of sick payPaid parking for employees who work in the office regularlyIf you are ready to take the next step in your accounting career, apply now!#INDACTLearn more about Boutique Recruiting
