We are looking for a mid-level associate to join our team and have a seat at the table.Key ResponsibilitiesCase Management: Assume responsibility for a diverse caseload of employment and commercial litigation matters, including discrimination claims, harassment allegations, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and contract and fraud disputes. Manage cases from inception to resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings.Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing timely and strategic legal advice, guidance, and representation in all aspects of matters. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their objectives and concerns and develop tailored legal strategies to achieve their goals.Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to support case strategy and develop persuasive legal arguments. Stay informed of developments in changes to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Document Review and Drafting: Review and draft a variety of contract documents, including employment agreements, severance agreements, employee handbooks, policies, NDAs, servicing agreements, and other legal instruments. Ensure that all documents comply with applicable laws and regulations and accurately reflect clients' interests and objectives.Litigation Support: Collaborate with senior attorneys to prepare for all stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. Assist in the preparation of witnesses for testimony and participate in mediation and settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.Compliance and Counseling: Provide proactive legal advice and counseling to clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including employee discipline, termination, workplace investigations, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Assist clients in implementing best practices to minimize legal risks and promote a positive work environment.Continuing Education: Stay current on developments in employment law and commercial litigation through participation in seminars, conferences, and continuing legal education programs. Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance the firm's collective capabilities and provide the highest level of service to our clients.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the New York State Bar.
