Day-to-day, you’ll get to use your .NET/MVC development skills to make a difference for Ohioans as we convert a legacy (COBOL/IMS) application to a modern distributed architecture based on .NET and SQL.

The first step in this journey is to create an interim solution where the legacy code is emulated in a .NET wrapper. If you’re not familiar with the legacy technology, don’t worry, you’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that can help! You will also be developing and using mentorship skills to help build a team of .NET professionals.

That’s only the beginning! You’ll put your .NET expertise to use as we create a secure, robust, high-performing, microservice-based cloud-ready distributed system to replace the legacy system. Whether you’re interested in developing MVC-based user interfaces, business logic, microservices, or RESTful APIs, there will be challenging and exciting opportunities to grow as a developer.

Ability to:Stay abreast of current technologies in area of IT assigned, deal with problems involving several variables in familiar context, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, and prepare meaningful, accurate and concise reports.
