Job Responsibilities And Requirements

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of various financial reports, forecasts and analyses for the Finance department.Planning and Analysis

Advises and provides subject matter expertise to applicable stakeholders on key financial analytics, identified trends, or complex projects/assignments.Reviews complex analysis and validates the financial data to ensure information is sufficient, complete, accurate and reliable.Anticipates and proactively provides solutions to complex finance and/or financial analysis problems.Conducts a thorough evaluation of complex financial metrics and analysis while carefully following controls and processes to achieve efficiency.Process Improvement

Continuously evolves the reporting function to ensure alignment with present and future business needs.Must adopt and be an advocate of new tools and technology (e.g. FAST, OAC).Recommends the implementation of process improvements and/or automation that significantly reduces workloads or improves quality across the department.Stays abreast of current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.Reporting

Coordinate with various departments, and mentor staff appropriately in order to support departmental responsibilities.Develops sufficient, accurate and reliable financial information to support data driven decision making.Ad hoc reporting as needed.Specific to Management Reporting

Owner of financial deliverables (I.e. Financial package pages, board material).Prepare 3 year financial plan and other forecasts/projections.Understanding and development of various reconciliations.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Related Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent field of study required. MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, or Statistics is a plus.3-5 years’ experience in financial analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.Superior analytical problem solving skills.Proven ability to synthesize large volumes of data, report on complex findings, and evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.Must be able to maintain a consistently high degree of accuracy in mathematical calculation and analysis.Must be able to apply concepts such as probability, statistics, financial modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.Must be able to identify trends in data and information.Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and communicate with senior level management.Ability to prioritize, multitask, manage ambiguity, and work in fast paced environment.Ability to perform under stress in emergency situations.Excellent organizational and project management skills required.Understanding of Compliance, Internal Controls, and Regulatory requirements.Must be a pro-active leader and influencer who can think “outside the box”, and effectively build strong relationships across the department to understand user needs.Demonstrated project leadership, business and technical acumen around the data within a financial services organization.Experience modernizing legacy data to newer technologies.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team with all levels of the organization.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.Experience in Oracle EBS, IBM ICM, Docusign, Salesforce.com, Varicent, & DataMart is a plus.Ability to Travel
