Our client a highly regarded international financial services group is looking to appoint a HR Director (APAC) into Singapore. The organization is going through extensive growth, transformation and integration across a number of complex and diverse business areas, and as a result, it is an exciting time to join the group and lead a large HR team across the region.

Job descriptionThis individual will report to the Group CHRO based in another geography, with a dotted line to the SVP of APAC and their leadership team from a business perspective. They will sit on the Global HR Leadership team and Regional Business Leadership team. This individual will be responsible for leading the people strategy, transformation and execution end to end across 12+ markets overseeing a HR team of circa 230+ people supporting a business of 8,500+ employees across the region. More specifically, projects will include re-defining the business and HR operating model reviewing the balance between group, regional and country, ensuring robust governance and control is in place at a regional level, operating as the strategic hub, leading structural, business and culture change, while driving profitability and efficiencies in a high touch relationship driven environment.

The successful candidateThis individual will have a track record operating as a Regional Head of HR APAC based in Singapore, operating within leading international financial services and or commercial/consumer groups in fast paced, matrix structures, with the ability to navigate global, regional and country driving collaboration and transformation across the group while working as one global entity and still enabling the domestic markets, driving collaboration through the regional structure. This individual will be an excellent relationship builder and ability to lead and influence change. This person would have ideally worked in HR Leadership roles in a number of international markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, China, Malaysia, USA and / or UK.
