A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a highly skilled AI/Software Patent Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in electrical/computer science engineering and a deep understanding of artificial intelligence technologies, machine learning, and cloud computing. This role involves preparing and prosecuting patents related to advanced technologies such as image processing, databases, access management, natural language processing/understanding (NLP/NLU), and autonomous machines/vehicles. The firm values are driven individuals who are team players committed to delivering top-quality work for the firm and its clients.Job Responsibilities:Prepare and prosecute patent applications in artificial intelligence, software, and related technologies.Conduct thorough patentability, freedom-to-operate, and validity analyses.Provide strategic advice to clients on patent portfolios and intellectual property strategies.Conduct prior art searches and analyze results to determine the patentability of inventions.Draft and review technical documents, patent applications, and legal opinions.Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and technology to provide tailored intellectual property solutions.Represent clients in patent prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Stay updated on patent law developments, particularly in AI, software, and related technologies.Mentor and guide junior attorneys and patent agents.Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and expand client relationships.Requirements:Minimum of 2+ years of experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications.Strong technical background in electrical/computer science engineering.Deep understanding of artificial intelligence technologies, machine learning, and cloud computing.Experience with patent work in image processing, databases, access management, NLP/NLU, and autonomous machines/vehicles.Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.Highly driven and motivated to provide top-quality work products.Team player with strong interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Bachelor or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.Certifications:Admission to a state bar in good standing.Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:Proficient in patent preparation and prosecution.Strong technical understanding of AI, software, and related technologies.Excellent research and analytical skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Proficiency with patent search databases and software tools.Company infoBCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone :
