We have an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Scientist or Biologist in our Honolulu, HI office.What you will do:The Environmental Scientist or Biologist will assist in a wide range of natural resources projects.Specific responsibilities include:Assist senior staff with preparing project documents (work plans, proposals, reports, etc.), and business development.Plan, coordinate, and lead field efforts.Collect and evaluate data and reporting.Field studies to support flora and fauna surveys.Habitat assessments and management.Threatened and endangered species surveys.Ecological monitoring.Wetland and aquatic resources characterizations and assessments.Support permitting, compliance, and remedial investigation projects.Note:

We also offer a fantastic benefits package!What you will need:Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, environmental science, or related field.2-5 years of experience in environmental consulting or similar setting.Experience in work plan preparation, permit applications, and technical report writing.Willingness to conduct field work in varying field conditions (hot, humid, stormy, etc.).Intermediate knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS) and modeling applications preferred.Experience in wildlife and plant identification and an understanding of ecological resources management is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft applications and Adobe Acrobat.Ability to acquire access to military installations and have a valid driver’s license.Comfortability working on office-based tasks and field activities.Current OSHA HAZWOPER, Emergency Response HAZWOPER, and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred.An understanding of environmental science within the Pacific region and/or coastal settings.Willingness to travel locally and out of state.Anticipated salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 per year.What We Offer:401k with Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Low deductible health coverage for you and your family through Medical, Dental and Vision plansGenerous paid-time-off policyProfessional DevelopmentHealthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsEmployee wellness programEA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC
