JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Business Intelligence Analyst, with a clinical emphasis, will utilize advanced techniques to analyze intricate business and clinical datasets, furnishing actionable insights for discerning clinical and operational decision-makers. They will discern and interpret trends and patterns within datasets to pinpoint influential factors. They will collaborate with business and clinical teams to prioritize data interpretation, addressing divisional requirements. Their goal is to enhance the efficacy of enterprise business intelligence tools by refining data filtration and indexing, enhancing user value. They must engage with clinical stakeholders to define essential data requirements, procure them, and translate them into concise reports, informative dashboards, and data-informed recommendations directly shaping patient care delivery while streamlining unit operations. The generated reports will have varying frequencies, ranging from continuous to ad hoc. The individual will be skilled in data visualization to facilitate comprehension and informed decision-making. Additionally, this role involves crafting dashboards using tools such as Tableau to augment accessibility and efficacy. The analyst is responsible for performing work related to performance measurement and operational, financial, and clinical analytics. They will produce critical information for all levels of management to be used to understand performance at the project, department, and organizational levels and compare performance with internal and external benchmarks. This requires the ability to engage in systematic problem-solving and innovative thinking, attention to detail, customer focus, and excellent communication, as well as a tolerance for ambiguity, changing priorities, and unexpected events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Clinical Informatics, Business, Accounting, or Health Care Management

OR

degree in another clinical/medical-related field such as RN/LPN, PT/OT/ST, etc. requiredMinimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, informatics or related experienceSQL, Tableau, or Power BI skills required (SQL Server databases or Snowflake DB environment)Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate and understand complex healthcare data; clinical experience a plusStrong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applicationsLEAN/Six Sigma or Project Management experience preferredEpic reporting experience preferred (Cogito, Caboodle/Clarity/Slicer-Dicer/Workbench Reports/Radar Dashboards); certifications may be requiredExcellent human relations skills, as demonstrated by the ability to interact positively with all customers and employees.Must have the ability to work with frequent interruptions, under stress, with minimal supervision, and to exercise initiative and judgment in analyzing, organizing, planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and coordinating work with others.Needs to possess a high level of intelligence, integrity, sense of responsibility, and ability to comprehend and analyze details.Effective teaching/instructional skills.
