Summary:
Plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, including acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. Defines project objectives and oversees quality control throughout the life cycle. The candidate will need to gather and document both system and functional requirements and analyze the system to ensure system functionality. Ensure that the best business practices are used and that the developers/vendors execute the requirements stated.Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Directs performing requirements analysisEvaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutionsDocument both Business and/or Functional RequirementsDirects and manages project development from beginning to endDefines project scopes, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersDevelops full-scale project plans and associated communications documentsEffectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashionEstimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goalsDrafts and submits budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes when necessaryWhere required, negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the companyDetermines and assesses the need for additional staff or consultants and makes the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during the project cycleSets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholdersDelegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnelIdentifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project teamIdentifies and manages project dependencies and critical pathsTracks project milestones and deliverablesDevelops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentationsDetermines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results and troubleshoots problem areasProactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises and devises contingency plansDefines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycleReports project status to IT Management on all current and upcoming IT related projects in a centralized timelineAssists IT management in prioritizing current and upcoming projects based on available resourcesEnsure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the positionProvide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standardsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements
Qualifications
At least two years of both business analyst and project management experience in an information technology environment, including experience in cross-functional project management methods and techniques preferredKnowledge of information technology applications, processes, software, and equipmentKnowledge of the techniques for managing cross-functional teamsSkill in planning and preparing written and verbal communicationSkill in technical planning of information technology projectsSkill in working with groups to build consensusSkill in effectively serving a divergent customer baseAbility to synthesize project information and establish the appropriate scope of a projectAbility to apply strong project management skills and methodologiesAbility to create new work processesAbility to communicate effectively with senior managementAbility to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical usersPrevious experience leading in both small groups and one-on-one situationsPrevious experience managing and prioritizing multiple projectsPossesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system designUnderstands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architecturesExperience working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environmentMust have reliable communication (i.e., cell phone, pager) readily available when not at work in case company needs to reach out during non-scheduled work hoursHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent educational experience preferredAt least 21 years of ageAbility to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbalObtain and maintain all work cards as required by the companyVerify right to work in the United StatesWork Cards
