Cozen O’Connor is seeking a department attorney for our Subrogation & Recovery Department to join our dynamic team in any location where we have an office. We will also consider candidates working remotely in New York State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Texas. Come work at an AmLaw 100 firm in a 9-5 role without the pressure of billable hours! Responsibilities include evaluating and handling large property claims including coordinating the investigation, retention and management of experts, identifying potential theories of liability, and client reporting. The role is primarily to triage large losses, closing those that are nonviable with client approval, and identifying claims with an appropriate factual and legal basis for pursuit of recovery. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of four years of experience handling insurance claims, construction claims, or commercial litigation. Excellent interpersonal, research and writing skills, and a license in good standing in the resident state required. This position is not on partner track, but it has the potential to be converted to an associate position in the future.Cozen O’Connor founded our subrogation and recovery practice in 1970 and has been at the forefront of this dynamic area ever since, representing most industry leading P&C insurers, together with multiple syndicates, third party administrators, managing general agents and self-insured companies.
