Director of Franchise Finance

Tommy's Express is seeking a Director of Franchise Finance with the skills needed to create and launch effective strategies to support potential franchise business owners/investors in pursuing every opportunity in optimizing Tommy's Express. The Director of Franchise Finance will ultimately be responsible for managing banking relationships and documentation to support prospective franchisees with financing, leading private placement capital initiatives, and overseeing investor fund administration. Collectively with the team, this role will build a culture around presenting investment opportunities and onboarding investors the way you'd want your family to be treated.

Position Responsibilities:

• Build rapport and trust with potential franchise partner/investor groups, understanding their concerns while providing maximum support and transparent communication
• Partner with entire Development Leadership Team to review, evaluate, create, and execute strategies for targeting multi-unit franchise prospect investors fitting with and supplementing the growth of Tommy's Express
• Manage relationships, network and qualify financing lending solutions including SBA lending, conventional lending, multi-unit franchisee lending groups, equipment lenders, sale lease back providers, turnkey developers
• Host annual financial summit to connect existing and prospective partners with lenders
• Create, manage, and lead lender and appraisal education program
• Support maintenance and updates of legal documentation with financial information
• Possess financial acumen or confidence in ability to obtain acumen to contribute to growth of financial resources and relationships for store growth
• Lead strategic initiatives and activities for launching TX Capital funding and acquiring capital partners for growth of brand (private placements, banking relationships and financial summit)
• Prepare and deliver pitch decks and presentations and create accompanying documentation packages including what is available to franchise partners for their investor seeking
• Help lead international development efforts
• Obtain comprehensive overall knowledge of and ability to share Tommy's history, systems, processes and culture with franchise/investor prospects
• Incorporate the values and mission of Tommy's Express throughout business development process and carry out the company's family-founded culture, passion, and integrity
• Share & embody the brand mission & values throughout the business development process prioritizing the franchise/investor prospect buy-in

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
• 10+ years of experience in business development with evidence of a strong track record in fast-growth brands
• Strong legal and financial acumen; ability to interpret and talk through legal documents, financial documents, and financing structures
• Learn and maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of franchise and licensing regulations, laws and procedures and FDD requirements
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on prioritizing client communications and follow-up
• Excellent organization skills to manage multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency and follow through
• Ability to form strong working relationships with team members and clients
• Excellent verbal, written and PC skills, including experience with creating written proposals and the ability to prepare and deliver PowerPoint and Excel proposals, spreadsheets, etc.
• Strong closing skills, as demonstrated by examples in current or previous roles
• High energy, self-motivated, and a drive for working efficiency
• Willingness to travel

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm with communication outside of normal business hours as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and operates primarily indoors.

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, team member must be able to:

• Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions
• Able to move about inside the office to access standard office equipment,
• Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, alternating between sitting and standing
• Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as; keyboard, copy machine and printer
• Ability to move and lift up to 30 pounds
• Able to effectively communicate, listen, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information
• Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers
