Under the command of the Undersheriff, Captain and direct supervisors of a Lieutenant or Sergeant, Law Enforcement Officers will perform various duties to ensure public safety and enforcement of Federal, State, and Local Laws.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $2,500 recruitment incentive after successful completion of the required training period. $1,000 is paid after completion of training, generally lasting twelve to sixteen weeks. The additional $1,500 will be paid eight weeks after the completion of training. Then, to reward your commitment to the department and community, employees are eligible for a $500/month retention incentive following 6 months of employment, subject to attendance criteria.

High School Diploma or GED.Ability to comply with all Michigan Commission On Law Enforcement Standards (M.C.O.L.E.S.)
