Simi Valley, CADESCRIPTION:The Configuration Data/Document Control C is a critical engineering support role responsible for providing technical document control, data management, and engineering administrative services across various departments and multiple specialties within the organization. Responsibilities include generating, maintaining, and ensuring the integrity of technical engineering documentation, contributing to the maintenance and control of configuration management processes, and supporting product configurations, data management, and change management processes. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, programs, supply-chain, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to support the lifecycle management of programs, products, and systems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage and perform Engineering Document Control services including scanning, printing, archiving, and folding various large format sizes of engineering and CAD documentation across departments and disciplines.Interface with multiple disciplines and levels of program regularly to ensure adequate Data Management support while receiving guidance from the program Configuration Manager.Reproduce, organize, process, distribute, and maintain master engineering hard & electronic copies of drawings/documents, bills of material, CAD drawings, DWG packages, technical O&M manuals, and other documents as requested.Support configuration and engineering change management best practices while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.Generate, distribute, track, and maintain database of serialized engineering forms including Engineering Orders (EO's) and Engineering Change Notifications (ECN's).Ensure proper markings of Fisica, Inc. Proprietary and Export Control statements for engineering documents.Organize, store, and manage large number of digital file and document types across various platforms and local servers, including AutoCAD DWG's, PDF's, Word, Excel, and software.Facilitate documentation/data access requests for in-print/electronic documents and distribute documents in various media formats, such as CDs/DVDs, VeloBind binders, and laminated large-format prints.Work with program Configuration Manager and provide suggestions for improvement or enhancements to processes to improve performance of job area.Oversee document control department supply inventory levels and execute additional support tasks as directed by the Configuration Manager.QUALIFICATIONS:Must be capable of seeking out new responsibilities, recognizing and acting on opportunities, generating new ideas, and initiating self-development. Excellent follow up/follow through skills are required.Must be willing to work overtime and/or outside of normal business hours as needed to meet critical deadlines and business requirements.Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Acrobat; experience utilizing data management toolsets and ability to learn and utilize new tools, platforms, and software.Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute tasks under minimal supervision with effective time management and sense of urgency in meeting critical deadlines.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.Preferred minimum of 2 years' experience in a government and/or Department of Defense Engineering Document Control environment.Preferred to have 1 or more years' experience with electronic Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:Experience with PLM, CRM, ERP/MRP toolsets (Cost Point, Teamcenter, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Project, etc).Experience using AutoCAD and familiarity with various engineering documentation types/formats, including schematics, mechanical assembly diagrams, BOM's, parts lists, O&M manuals, etc.Knowledge of government and industry regulations (ITAR, EAR, CUI) relevant to configuration management.Familiarity with EIA-649C, MIL-STD-973, and other Configuration Management standards.JOB SCHEDULE:9/80 Schedule: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days and have every other Friday off.In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $47,000 - $87,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
