Overview:
By Light is seeking a detail-oriented professional to establish and support configuration management process for a high-priority Department of Defense simulation and training capability. The selected individual will work closely with internal and external program stakeholders to manage program deliverables and enable the DevOps deliveries and processes.Responsibilities:Responsible for identifying and implementing configuration management processes.Review and recommend improvements to existing processes.Responsible for creating and maintaining the program Configuration Management Plan.Responsible for configuration identification of software and documentation, including assigning unique ID numbers and ensuring version control.Maintain version control of software and documentation using GitLab or similar software code repositories.Implement and maintain a physical CM Library, providing controlled access and reproducing data as needed.Regulate the change process to ensure only approved and validated changes are incorporated into program products.Track CDRL due dates, ensuring timely delivery and configuration control of all versions.Organize and support recurring Configuration Control Board (CCB), providing agendas and meeting minutes.Coordinate with customer and subcontractors to merge external documentation input into common program-controlled documents.Perform configuration status accounting, generating ad hoc reports as required.Update and track Discrepancy Reports.Participate in joint stakeholder IPTs and team meetings.Perform and support audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met.Identify, package, duplicate and deliver release products to multiple fielded sites and the government.Required Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration, or related discipline from an accredited university or college. Verifiable experience related to the functions described in the job description may be substituted for a bachelors degree.Minimum 10+ years of experience leading, establishing and maintaining consistent product performance and tracking configuration of all training systems during development and fielding.Ability to define and implement manageable CM processes (check-out/check-in, build, release, etc.)Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.Knowledgeable in both Windows and Linux operating systems.Proficient in the use of CM tools, including JIRA, GitLab, and other CI/CD tools.Expert familiarity with media duplicating tools and software.Ability to evaluate the current environment, identify needs and propose a recommended CM solution.Must be able to take initiative, communicate both verbally and in writing skills with team members, and to both identify and resolve potential issues.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
