About the Role:

The role of Information-Database Administrator is to provide direction/supervision for data schema and database setup to support Business Applications. This includes establishing processes for disaster recovery, database backups, database performance/optimization and ensure the standards are being followed, providing oversight to projects that involve data architecture and working with the application architects to establish rhythms and synergy between data architecture, the Master Data Management initiatives and the application architecture.This is a unique opportunity to join a small team and have a large impact across different sides of the business as it advances quickly to meet customer demand. As an integral member on the team, you will have a massive impact on our product’s success.What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Analyze business requirements to determine feasibility and produce technical requirements and design specificationsParticipate throughout the entire project life cycle to ensure conformance to design, overall data architectural compliance and infrastructure coordination and preparationWork with Integration and Application Architects to ensure the various architectures align with the BI/DW strategy and conform to the solution requirementsManage all aspects of in system/performance testing, infrastructure requirements, planning and implementationAct as Database Administrator or Data Architect or developer when required, to install/setup databases, design schemas, tune databases, optimize usageGeneral consulting skills, including: team facilitation, business case development, etcPersonal accountability for customer and team successExpected Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration Degree. Master’s degree preferred3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator versed in business continuity techniques5+ years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc.)3+ years working on database tuning, data access optimization, and Master Data Management projectsSubstantial (logical, physical, conceptual) design experience within data warehousing environments governed by applying appropriate methodologiesDeep experience on SQL Server RDBMS and related servicesUp-to-date with Big Data Architectures and Solutions, including in-memory componentsA high degree of proficiency in SQL Server (query language and schema design)Experience with creating databases to support multitenant applications, data migration, and tenant based data management including backup/recovery strategiesRelevant experience in healthcare related solutions in the areas of Asset and Inventory Management
