Counselor

POSITION OVERVIEW:The primary responsibility of the Counselor position is to serve our mission by delivering compassionate, ethical, and quality care to our patients and to execute the day-to-day clinical activities in accordance with internal policies, and federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern Northpoint. The Counselor will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned patients, as required by contractual and licensure obligations. In tandem with our multidisciplinary team, you are entrusted to ensure that the highest degree of quality care will always be provided to our patients. Our clinical staff have a unique opportunity for professional growth and make a significant difference in the lives of many through their work with our diverse patient population.THE MUST HAVES:Current, unencumbered, active substance abuse or mental health licensure to practice as a Counselor in the state where treatment services are rendered, at hire and for the entire duration of employmentMaster’s Degree of Mental Health, Social Sciences or commensurate experience preferredLMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, CADC or LMFT preferred. License-eligible individuals are encouraged to inquire about opportunities for those working towards licensureCurrent and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certificationKnowledge of computer and EMR systemsMust be at least twenty-one (21) years of ageEnthusiasm, passion for working with people, and internal drive to improve the lives of individuals in our careWe love new grads!
