Houston, TX (on-site)Position SummaryThe IT Desktop Support person will handle business critical IT tasks and systems improvement by providing operational infrastructure support, maintenance and troubleshooting to ensures optimum utilization of IT resources. Part of the activities will include managing security access, monitoring systems and routines to ensure all systems are performing as expected. This role will be assisting employees and guiding them for troubleshooting or requests, as well as provide training as needed.Principal DutiesInstall, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phonesAnalyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost efficiency and accuracyExecute systems and network design, documentation, implementation, testing, and administration, and ensure components meet business needs and work together seamlesslyResolve IT support requests from employees, while providing status updates on service requestsAnswer employee questions regarding computer systemsTrain employees in using software and hardwareGenerate sign ins for new hires during the onboarding processOther duties as assignedSkills and AbilitiesMust have strong interpersonal and organizational skillsStrong oral communications skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple languageStrong written communication skills to create useful support logsAnalytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issuesTime management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frameAbility to effectively prioritize tasksAbility to maintain confidentiality of company informationAbility to multitask to assist multiple employees at onceCustomer service skills to interact professionally and positively with employees and coworkersQualificationsTwo years' experience in ITDeep knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring toolsBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer scienceProfessional certification is a plus but not requiredStrong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Work, PPT, Teams)Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system strongly preferredOther RequirementsMust be willing to travel up to 10% of the timeMust be legally authorized to work in the USAMust be fluent in English and SpanishThe above statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the principal functions of the occupation and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherited in the occupation.Cab Enterprises Inc. is committed to maintaining a work environment that promotes diversity and is free of discrimination.
