Position: Defense Analyst

Location: Alexandria, VA

We are seeking a Defense Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert (SME). The successful individual will provide a full range of technical assistance, data collection, and analytical support to operational and technical communities within the Department of Defense.

Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university2+ years' military or operations research experienceDoD Secret ClearanceUnderstanding of current U.S. Military OperationsU.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred:

Master's degree in international relations, operations research, or technical field5+ years' experience in defense or military operations research analysisKnowledge and understanding of U.S. current military operations to include the ideology, doctrine, strategy, or tactics related to one or more of the following:

Operational planningCampaign analysisCapability developmentForce sizing and structureOpen-source or classified Intelligence collection and analysisWargamingModeling and simulationEmerging technologies

Experience with Joint or Interagency processesExperience navigating classified networksInterest in international alliances and partnershipsDuties/Responsibilities: Work independently and collaboratively to:

Develop new methodologies for aggregating and managing data setsCollect, conduct, and support the quantitative and qualitative analysis and assessment of data setsDevelop and brief analysis results to internal and external leadershipSalary: $75,000 - $115,000 (provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market considerations).
