Incumbent works as a clerk/counter person for the MWR Everett Liberty Program at the Vibes Single Sailor Recreation Center and Pierside Plaza Cyber Café. Incumbent provides services related to entertainment, limited library resources, recreation programs, and other community center functions for eligible patrons. Responsibilities include:Checking out recreation equipment and supplies to patrons.Assisting Liberty Programmer with in-house events and activities.Greeting and advising customers on resource locations, computer usage, single sailor programs, and general information.Providing customer service, information, and support for Community Recreation Programs and activities.Checking patron eligibility to ensure authorized use of recreation facilities, resources, and equipment.Opening and closing facilities, ordering and restocking supplies, and preparing snack bar menu items or pre-packaged retail items.Collecting fees from customers associated with sales of tickets, retail and rental items, classes, trips, and various other Community Recreation programs using Point of Sales (DAR) at the end of every shift.Assisting in processing customer Internet registrations (i.e., Net Near You), initial log-ins, and event registrations.Checking Community Recreation equipment and resources in and out, collecting rental fees, inventorying items, and completing inspections upon return.Ensuring all rental or check-out forms are properly completed and reservation and check-out procedures are followed.Conducting inventory, maintaining inventory controls, and maintaining equipment for proper accountability of program equipment and resources.Assisting in day-to-day administration duties of multiple programs to which assigned.Updating electronic and multi-media support tools as needed.Providing recreation experiences related to leisure skill sets in the form of day and weekend trips.Seeking ways to promote MWR facilities and events through outreach opportunities on base.Adhering to NAVMED P-5010 sanitation requirements.Performing other duties as assigned related to the position.Qualifications:

Must be a minimum of 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Required skills include:Experience related to customer service and/or recreation activity-based functions.Ability to organize, plan, and administer special events and entertainment activities.Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Knowledge of goals, principles, techniques, and procedures used in organizing, planning, and conducting leisure time activities.Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and the scope of Community Recreation activities.Strong customer service skills.Ability to maintain records, compile and organize data for reports, and perform research on recreation topics.Ability to follow oral and written instructions.Conditions of Employment:

Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check required. Must be C.A.R.E (Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively) trained, hold an Emergency First Responder (EFR) OR CPR First Aid and AED certification, and hold a current Food Handler certification upon being placed in the position OR be able to obtain these trainings/certifications within 90 days of being placed in the position. Work schedule is flexible (0-40 hours per week), including nights, weekends, and holidays. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors under varied weather conditions. This position requires considerable standing, bending, stooping, walking, pushing, climbing, and lifting objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:
