The Director of Operations is pivotal in maintaining consistent operations, ensuring high-quality customer service, optimizing sales performance, and managing staff across our four current locations. This role encompasses strategic planning, team leadership, financial management, and adherence to health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail or service management, exceptional communication skills, data analysis and reporting skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations at all four locations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.Implement and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency.Ensure all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and in optimal condition.Implement process improvements and corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise salon managers and staff to ensure high performance and professional development.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Customer Service:
Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met at all times.Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience.Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets for each salon location.Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.Implement cost-control measures and identify opportunities for revenue growth.Sales and Marketing:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business goals and drive revenue growth.Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns.Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all spa locations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance.Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect guests and staff.Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies and products are available at all times.Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and loss.Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to obtain the best prices and terms.Objectives:
Collaborate with senior managers to develop performance goals and long-term operational plans for the spa chain.Maximize efficiency and productivity across salons through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.Work with managers on financial planning and budgeting.Develop standardized processes across all of the areas referenced above in this job description. The goal of these processes will be to standardize operations, reduce waste, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.Create step-by-step instructions for training and reference purposes. Create standardized reports and generate them on a weekly/monthly/quarterly and as needed basis across all areas. These reports might need to have time period to time period comparisons, e.g., change in sales from one month to the next, lead volume month to month and year vs year.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.5+ years of experience in the retail or service industries.Strong experience in Excel. Should be comfortable with pivot tables, formulas like VLOOKUP, data clean-up exercises like find/replace, remove duplicates, text to columns, etc.Excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be comfortable creating and presenting high-quality presentations using PowerPoint or other similar presentation tools.Comfortable with setting up Zoom meetings and running meetings.Experience putting together clear and actionable reports including time series reports and reports with filters to help look at different subsections of data. Experience using GSuite and Google tools like sheets, documents, forms, etc.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Deep knowledge of operational functions such as finance, customer service, and production.Proven ability to plan and manage operations for maximum efficiency.Ability to streamline roles to support rapidly changing business needs.Working Conditions:
Regular travel between salon locations required.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.Must be comfortable in all positions within all salon locations, including front-line customer service roles, occasionally on your own. This requirement may be necessary as part of your training, staff development, or, on occasion, for store staffing coverage.Compensation:
