- to provide guidance and oversight of the Project's financial in-comings and outgoings, to ensure compliance with the Charity Governance Code.Gateway Mental Health Project
is seeking to recruit a treasurer to join the Board of Directors.The Board is particularly interested in individuals with recent and relevant experience in working with statutory regulators, knowledge of budgets, and involvement in working directly with the HSE, as the primary funder.Core responsibilities will include the following:Providing input to the strategic direction of the organisation and contributing with insight, oversight, and experience at board meetings and any additional commitments.Policy development and implementation as required.Provide advice and information to ensure financial security.Review the risk register, especially regarding financial sustainability.Essential/Desired Skills/Qualities required:An appreciation and knowledge of the Not-For-Profit sector.An understanding of and commitment to our mission and values.Commitment to the highest levels of corporate governance.Lived experience of Mental Health difficulties (either as a family member of a person or an openness to learning from those with lived experience of mental health difficulties, especially members of Gateway).There will be at least

board meetings per year, and the post holder may be asked to join/lead a sub-committee. Meetings are held on location (Rathmines, Dublin 8), but with facilities to allow for online attendance.Please provide an outline of relevant experience/knowledge (as per the Job description) and any other information you think will support your application.You may then be asked to meet the Chairperson, a representative of Gateway members, and the Project coordinator to learn more about the project and for us to get to know you.
