We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to join our dynamic team in downtown Chicago. As a key member of our firm specializing in infrastructure projects, you will play a pivotal role in roadway and highway design, contributing to the development and enhancement of transportation networks across the region.Responsibilities:Lead roadway and highway design projects from concept through to completion.Conduct feasibility studies and analyze transportation systems to optimize efficiency and safety.Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and approvals.Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve design issues.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Illinois (required).Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on roadway and highway design.Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or Civil 3D.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering.Experience with transportation planning and traffic engineering.Familiarity with local and federal transportation regulations and standards.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement savings plan with employer match.Professional development opportunities and support for continuing education.Vibrant and collaborative work environment in downtown Chicago.If you are a dedicated Transportation Engineer with a passion for innovative design and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply.
