To contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer

.The focus of the lab is the orchestration of the innate immune response in tumors, particularly focusing on macrophages. We aim to investigate the role of innate immune cells in both resistance and response to therapy, and elucidate their intricate interactions with the tumor microenvironment. The long-term goal is to identify novel therapeutic targets and strategies to enhance treatment efficacy.Position Highlights:Moffitt integrates excellent patient care with cutting-edge clinical and basic research.Outstanding mentorship from expert faculty with wide-ranging funded research programs including T32 Training Grants.You will be encouraged and supported to apply for training grants.You will be encouraged to collaborate with other groups and participate in research programs with physicians and physician-scientists that integrate basic and translational science.The laboratory and Department offer cutting-edge technologies and a vibrant scientific environment.MD or PhD in Immunology or related topics, although we are happy to consider different backgrounds and training.The Ideal Candidate:We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a passion for tumor immunology.Drive, enthusiasm, and curiosity are key features.Substantial expertise in flow cytometry, single-cell sequencing, cellular and molecular biology, and in vivo work are suitable but not required.Bioinformatic experience is a plus. We will consider each candidate’s technical skills.Disposition to work in a collaborative group.Ability to work independently.Responsibilities:Manage and implement research projects.Potentially develop new research projects.Collect robust and reliable data.Manage technical and methodological aspects of the experimental design.Write papers and grants.Present at internal lab meetings, department meetings, as well as national and international conferences.Proactively share and interact with other groups.Credentials and Qualifications:MD or PhD in Immunology or related field is required.Should have at least one first author publication.Moffitt Postdocs are provided with Medical benefits (Moffitt covers premium for team member) and are eligible for Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, Retirement, Parental Leave, and more.
