Every day, we deliver packaging solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations while solving complex problems as a team.Supplier Quality ManagerOrora Packaging Solutions is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Manager to assist the Quality and Procurement teams in the onboarding and management of our diverse supplier base across all business units.Summary of Role and How You’ll Fit InIn this role you will be responsible for working with the Quality and Procurement teams to assess potential suppliers to determine their capability to meet quality requirements, conduct supplier audits and assessments, oversee continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, work with suppliers on corrective action requests, and ensure that supplier documentation is up to date as it relates to industry standards, regulations and legal requirements.This position will report to the General Counsel and VP, Quality & ComplianceTravel Requirement: 10 - 25% travelFLSA Status: ExemptAbout The TeamIn this role you will be part of the Quality Leadership Team and you will be interacting with internal coworkers across multiple business units, suppliers and customers.What You’ll be Responsible ForSupport Procurement with the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Quality / Compliance risksSupport Procurement with supplier development, designing the metrics for the function and supplier performanceManage the process for root cause analysis and corrective actions process for supplier quality issuesDefine and complete the verification of effectiveness for corrective actions arising from supplier quality issuesReview, evaluate and provide analysis of supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chainWhere appropriate, work with the supplier directly to create corrective action plans to address process failuresManage the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) with applicable suppliersMonitor and report on supplier product quality and performanceManage the Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Lead quality audits for suppliersParticipate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirementsEnsuring supplier documentation is up-to-date (surveys, certifications, compliance information, etc.)Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications:5 years of experience in a quality role with a focus on supplier quality managementExperience performing supplier audits in a lead auditor roleDeep understanding of FDA compliance requirements for cosmetic and medical packagingExperience related to medical devices or medical device packagingAbility to communicate effectively both written and orallyPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferredASQ Certified Supplier Quality ProfessionalASQ Certified Quality EngineerPrior role with a focus on supplier qualityExperience with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and related certificationsAbility to create / update a Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)About UsAt Orora Packaging Solutions, we believe our packaging touches lives.
