This role is ideal for an attorney with 7-10 years of experience in environmental law, specifically in advising on complex regulatory and enforcement matters and handling environmental due diligence. The successful candidate will possess exceptional research, analytical, and interpersonal skills and demonstrate a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide expert legal counsel on a broad range of environmental regulatory and administrative enforcement matters, including but not limited to CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and related California statutes.Handle complex environmental due diligence, investigations, and transactions involving potentially contaminated properties.Represent clients in environmental regulatory proceedings and administrative hearings.Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs related to environmental matters.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on environmental issues and regulatory developments.Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to develop effective strategies and solutions for environmental compliance and risk management.Advise clients on environmental aspects of real estate transactions, including site assessments and remediation obligations.Prepare and deliver presentations on environmental law topics to clients, colleagues, and industry conferences.Mentor and guide junior attorneys and legal staff.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of California.7-10 years of experience in environmental law, with a strong background in advising clients on regulatory and enforcement matters.Demonstrated expertise in environmental due diligence, site investigations, and contaminated property transactions.Proven track record of handling complex environmental legal issues and representing clients before regulatory agencies.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple cases and priorities.Skills:Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex legal information.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.High level of academic achievement and intellectual curiosity.Energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to legal practice.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California.
