Quality Improvement Specialist

JOB DEFINITION:
Develop and monitor program goals and outcomes and provide quality improvement training for staff to facilitate achievement of goals.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Master's degree with a license in health and human services (i.e. LMHC, LMSW, LMFT, and LCSW).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Knowledge of quality management issues and four years' experience in behavioral health program operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and monitor program outcome measures and maintain statistical data on same.
Develop and monitor program satisfaction survey process and maintain statistical data on same.
Maintain current regulatory guidelines for all licensed programs and monitor program activities against these guidelines.
Conduct announce and unannounced audits of randomly selected program records.
Participate in investigation of incidents as required.
Identify problem areas/specific topics/problematic policies or undesirable outcomes within the department in cooperation with the Directors and senior management staff and assist in developing systems to overcome challenges.
Assist and/or participate in training programs for staff utilizing internal and external resources including, but not limited to, experienced staff to offer trainings, outside consultants, printed materials, videos.
Participate in task groups and committees that work towards overall agency quality improvement initiatives.
Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.
Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals.
Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views, and experiences.
Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Other duties as assigned.
