Job Captain / Architect

Ottinger Architects specializes in urban in-fill projects of various scales throughout the Los Angeles region. Our primary passion is for mixed-use market rate and affordable housing projects, and we have several exciting large-scale and high-rise projects under development. We have an immediate opening for a Job Captain / Architect with 5-8 years of experience through all phases of design, documentation, and construction administration.The ideal candidate can effectively work both collaboratively and independently, manage fast-paced deadlines while incorporating client and city feedback, and produce high-quality work. We are seeking a highly motivated, conscientious and detail-oriented person with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team.Ottinger Architects supports a collaborative work environment and offers the opportunity to work on many facets of a project, from initial concept to construction. Our goal is to create a well-rounded office where we foster the opportunity for gaining a breadth of experiences.We offer the ability to work a hybrid schedule, but all candidates must be able to work in the office on a weekly basis for in-person meetings and collaboration with the principal and team members.Position Requirements:

Professional degree in ArchitectureMinimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience working in architectureExperience working on multi-family residential projectsKnowledge of type I, high-rise building construction as well as type III wood constructionStrong design and technical skills with a passion for urban design and creative housing solutionsStrong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality workUnderstanding of the building code and accessibility requirementsAbility to coordinate consultant drawings and systemsProficiency in Revit, Enscape, V-Ray, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite. Minimum of 3 years of Revit experience.Benefits:
